In the OG, walls and their hitboxes are much more consistent and you can pretty much just depend on what you see at all times. However, that's because instead of being screwed over by hitting a wall that isn't even visible, now you can straight up drive into or drift literally glued to a wall (depending on the track/wall of course). They made this heaps better in the post-GP patch and it actually feels pretty good now. Before the big patch a few months ago at the end of the GPs, the problem with invisible walls was so huge, optimizing in time trials involved knowing the invisible wall placements or you would drift too tight and lose your reserves to nothing.
